Feed & Innovation: The Future of Insect Proteins in Shrimp Feed Formulations 

This session aims to understand better whether insect protein derived from black soldier flies will soon become a significant alternative ingredient in shrimp feed formulation. While being one of the most talked about alternative ingredients that can replace fishmeal, to date, the majority of insect meal is sold to the pet food market, which pays better prices. The use of insect meal as a standard ingredient in shrimp feed has been limited.

  Export and Import Statistics 

For the second year in a row, we will get you up to speed with the latest export and import statistics. After this session, you will have a good understanding of the latest changes in product and trade flows, which will give you food for thought for the remainder of the conference. We will present the trade statistics country by country and invite country representatives on stage to provide context and engage in discussion about the insights we discover. This session is a cornerstone of the Global Shrimp Forum’s programme and will return for each annual event.
