A directory with names on it.

Conference2Go is a discovery directory for academic conferences, run by a small team. Researchers use it to find conferences and keep track of the dates; organizers use it to be found. That is the whole business.

The editorial stance

Every listing is reviewed by a person

Before anything appears here, a human checks the committee, the venue and the publisher. Predatory conferences are the industry’s problem; the review is our answer.

Promotion never affects ranking

Organizers can buy labelled reach. They cannot buy position in organic results, and they cannot buy another conference down — at any price. The ranking code has no access to campaign or payment data.

Paid placement is always labelled

One Featured label, in its own region, never mixed into organic results. If it is not labelled, it was not paid for.

The people

Anonymous directories are how mills operate. We are not anonymous — these are the roles that review your listings and answer your email, and the names go here before launch.

Advisory — integrity

Sets the review criteria that decide what predatory means here.

How it makes money

Organizers can pay for visibility in clearly labelled placements — a band above the results grid, a slot in the monthly digest, a post on our social accounts. The prices are published.

That is the whole model. We do not charge researchers, we do not sell data about who searched for what, and paying does not move a listing up the organic results. The last of those is enforced in code rather than by policy: the ranking module cannot read commercial data.

The company

UK and EU data protection law both apply to how we handle personal data; the privacy notice sets out what we collect and why.

Every listing here is reviewed by a person, and promotion never changes organic ranking. Browse conferences →
