Malaria remains a significant global public health challenge, with increasing drug resistance, COVID interruptions to interventions, and rising malaria deaths confounding our efforts against this persistent disease. BioMalPar reaffirms our commitment to understanding the Plasmodium parasite and its interactions with hosts and vectors. Despite the challenges, there are promising developments: new drug combinations are showing efficacy, and we now have two approved vaccines that offer hope for the future. Together, we can drive forward the innovations and strategies needed to reduce the terrible toll malaria takes. Join us in this crucial endeavour to understand the biology of the malaria parasite and to advance global health.
