EuroGeo8 - 8th European Conference on Geosynthetics "Technical Challenges and Environmental Imperatives for the 21st Century"

EuroGeo 2025 is the 8th European Conference on Geosynthetics. This regional conference of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS) is held every four years. The conferences connect researchers, civil engineers, infrastructure professionals, and sustainability experts from around the world to share technologies, design strategies, and innovations with a special focus on beneficially impacting engineering in the European countries with geosynthetics. The main theme of the Conference is: Technical Challenges and Environmental Imperatives for the 21st Century. The new challenges faced by construction professionals, environmental concerns, innovation and risk management will be at the heart of the discussions and presentations. Almost 50 years after the first and historical International Conference on Geosynthetics in 1977 on the Use of Fabrics in Geotechnics in Paris, where two terms that have become central to the field of geosynthetics: “geotextile” and “geomembrane” were established and 22 years after the 7th lnternational Conference on Geosynthetics (7 ICG) in Nice in 2002, the CFG French Chapter of IGS decided to welcome you for the 3rd time in Lille for this 8th European Conference.
