The 4th SURE World Conference “Cities Under Global Social Transformations: Embracing Change for a Greener Future”

The world is confronted with intensifying and interwoven social-ecological crises, largely driven by human impacts on the planet's ecosystems and climate. Increasingly, researchers are calling for urgent action to prevent further damage to Earth's life support systems and to ensure we remain within the planet's safe operating space. Urban ecology is at the forefront of driving sustainability transformations and securing planetary health. As cities continue to grow, they play a pivotal role in shaping global resource use, biodiversity, and climate resilience. Join us at The 4th SURE World Conference “Cities Under Global Social Transformations: Embracing Change for a Greener Future” July 16th - 19th 2025, at Yıldız Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey to explore how cutting-edge research and innovative practices are redefining urban spaces to enhance ecosystem services, reduce environmental impacts, and create resilient, sustainable communities.
