Deleting your account

You can delete your account from your settings. It is not reversible, so download a copy of your data first if you want one.
Deleting removes everything you chose: saved conferences, ticked dates, follows, recently viewed, your lists, your saved searches, your travel regions, every session and every credential — including the password hash and any Google connection. Analytics rows are kept but detached from you, because they describe the catalogue rather than the person.
Two things can stop a deletion, and the settings page names whichever applies to you.
An unpaid invoice has to be settled or cancelled first. An invoice is a record we are separately obliged to keep, and deletion cannot be a way of walking away from one.
A listing that would be left with nobody able to correct it has to be transferred or closed first. A live conference must always have somebody who can fix a wrong date. If you are one of several people in an organization, this does not apply — your colleagues remain.
Some things survive on purpose. The audit log keeps its entries, with your address replaced by a stable pseudonym that cannot be turned back into an address. That log is what answers an appeal, including one from somebody else about a decision you were part of.
Your address is recorded as never to be used again. That is not a punishment: reusing it would mean a new account inheriting mail meant for the old one.
