How long review takes

A person reads every submission. Most are decided within two working days, and you get an email either way.

If something is missing or unclear we hold the listing and ask, rather than declining it. You answer on the listing itself — there is nothing to resubmit and no second form to fill in. Sending your answer puts the listing straight back into review, flagged so the moderator can see what changed, and it keeps the date it originally arrived rather than going to the back of the queue.

If a listing is declined you get the reason and the reviewer's note where they left one, and you can appeal from your events screen.

Every decision is written down with its reason and who made it. That record is what an appeal is answered from, and it is the reason we can answer an appeal at all rather than re-litigating it from memory.

Review is about whether the conference is real and the details are coherent. We do not assess the academic merit of your conference and would not be qualified to.
